Step by Step Guide to Install Android (Froyo) on iPhone 2G – iPhone 3G with Bootlace 2.1 Cydia Jailbreak App.

Quite sometime back we shared a detailed tutorial to Install the Android on iPhone 2G/3G using iPhoDroid which was quite popular until now. However with the Release of BootLace 2.1 a Cydia App you do not need to go through that lengthy procedure and above all everything is installed just right from your iPhone, You don’t have to connect it to your computer either.

Supported Devices and iOS (Excluding GM seeds):

  • iPhone 2G running on iOS 3.1.2 – 3.1.3
  • iPhone 3G running on iOS 3.1.2 – 3.1.3 – 4.0 – 4.0.1 – 4.0.2 – 4.1

Supported Jailbreak Tools:

Important Note:

First of All you would need to make sure that your iPhone 2G or iPhone 3G is Jailbroken on the iOS versions listed above and have Cydia Installed on it. You can follow our Guides for Blackra1n /  redsn0wPwnageTool or alternatively you can search around the Blog we have got every required Jailbreak Guide Covered in this Blog.

Step by Step Guide:

Step 1. Once you have successfully Jailbroken your iPhone and got Cydia Installed on it. Then First of all you would require to add Below repository to Install Bootlace 2.1. Launch Cydia -> Tap on ‘ Manage ‘ Tab below -> Select ‘Sources’ and in the upper right corner Click ‘Edit’ and then Click ‘Add’ and Enter this URL: and then Tap on ‘Add Source’


Step 2. Once you have successfully added above repository. Simply Search for Bootlace 2.1 in Cydia and Install it.

Step 3. Once Bootlace is installed on your iPhone. Simply Tap on its icon and Launch it. And You would require to install ‘ OpeniBoot ‘ Simply Tap on it at the bottom bar and Install it.

Step 4. Once you have installed OpeniBoot Next you would require to Install ‘iDroid‘ Simply Tap on its icon at the Bottom bar and Install it.

Step 5. Once you have installed ‘iDroid’ Tap on the ‘QuickBoot‘ icon at the bottom of the screen. And Tap on the Android Logo as shown in the screenshot below. It will reboot your iPhone with Android 2.2.1 Froyo. That’s it.
