Nokia and Microsoft launch Communicator Mobile app

Nokia and Microsoft have teamed up to hurl a latest communication-based app which will be obtainable to people with E-series mobile handsets.

Folks who download the app onto their Nokia mobile phones will be to view the accessibility of their contacts before opting which way to commune with them – either through instant messenger, email, call or SMS message.

Ukko Lappalainen, vice president at Nokia, alleged the recent service offers a “much more efficient” way for people to start conversations with their friends and colleagues.

“It also meets all of the requirements for enterprise: cost effective to implement, secure, familiar and reliable,” Mr Lappalainen added.

A ballot being carried out by Nokia, which began on May 3rd 2010, has disclosed that communication-based apps are the most admired programmes for people to download.

Some 26.2 per cent of respondents said these are the type of app they use most, compared to 23.3per cent who favour social media.
